Beaches
on the Costa del Sol
One
of the main attractions on the Costa del sol Andalucia
has got to be the beaches. Playing in the sea and
sand has always been a favorite amongst tourists on
the Costa del sol, Andalucia.
With beaches so far south its possible to be comfortable
in every season of the year with temperatures reaching
over 30c in the summer and with over 300km of coast
line you are sure to find that remote quiet spot you
have always dreamed about.
Some of the most popular beaches along the coast
can be found at:
Torremolinos
One of the three main tourist destinations on
the Costa del sol, The beach at Torremolinos is now
well established to take in a mass amount of holiday
makers and with the promenade running along the the
coast you can find plenty of those souvenir shops
and cafes to suit all tastes.
Benalmadena
This is the most popular beach along the Costa del
Sol. Being the main destination on the Costa del sol
don't be surprised to see the vast amount of tourists
and activities taking to the sand, from live music
and dance shows in the hot summer months, this beach
can be full of activity
Fuengirola
With about 9kms of beach line and the long promenade
the beach at Fuengirola is a favorite for the walkers
day or night. You will also find the little marina
port here full of boats and jet skis for hire and
for the less active plenty of shops, cafes and bars.
San Pedro
Now becoming one the nicest beaches west of Marbella,
with the huge development in the local area and a
big increase in visitors, this beach has a lot to
offer. With a brand new promenade stretching for pleasant
walks and jogging, And now you can try yourself out
at water skiing without going into deep water with
the very popular Cable Ski Park in San Pedro look
for the signs when you arrive at the San Pedro Junction.
Estepona
West of San Pedro and Marbella this newly reformed
stretch of coast line has some of those nice little
quiet spots and areas for that peaceful sun bathe
away from the vast amount of tourists. But if you
require the busy areas take a look some of the great
little beach shacks near the Cancelada roundabout.
Horse trekking is also near, taking you around the
coast line and some stunning views of Gibraltar Rock
can be seen on clear days
