Our apartment is situated centrally in Calahonda, an area on the Costa de Sol between two of the larger towns of the region Marbella and Fuengirola. It’s an ideal place for getting to know Andalucia or for just sitting back with a glass of wine and enjoying the lovely climate with its 320 sunshine days per year and with (even) winter temperatures averaging 16 degrees C (60 F)!

If you like exploring jet-set marinas, the famous Puerto Banus is only a few Km away. The many quality boutiques or restaurants or the old town and plazas of Marbella may be your choice. A quieter harbour, Cabopino, with quaint restaurants overlooking the boats is just a few minutes away by car. If you like walking and exploring old white Spanish villages, there is not too far to travel to places like Mijas with its wonderful views, craft shops and donkey rides through its narrow streets, or Rhonda with its spectacular viaduct. If you enjoy a bit of history, why not discover Malaga with its Alcazaba fortress, the Gibralfaro castle, the cathedral and its Arab and Roman remains.

If all this sounds like hard work, the beach at Calahonda is only 5 minutes walk away from the apartment and the large and safe swimming pool is literally at your doorstep! Being a garden apartment, access is direct from the pergola and terraces! Also just across the road there is a wealth of small and interesting shops selling everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to hardware and from wine to your magazines and newspapers. Getting Around

You don’t really need a car to get around as the restaurants, shops, bars and the beach etc are very near to the apartment and the taxi and local bus service is excellent. There is also a company nearby which offers day trips to a wide range of interesting places to visit at reasonable costs. Alternatively car hire is easy to arrange.

It is very well-maintained with beautiful gardens and indoor plants, and, of course, a large swimming pool. It is very convenient for shops, restaurants, bars, sport and all amenities. It is only 5 minutes away from the beach.
