Set upon the hillside over-looking the Mediterranean is the newly constructed well-furnished 2 bed roomed, quality apartment. It is located in the quiet, attractively planted and landscaped residential area of Hacienda Guadalupe.

The property is furnished to a particularly high standard and has immediate access to a shared pool and garden area. Some of the few remaining unspoilt and natural beaches on the Costa del Sol are within easy reach of the apartment, as are the two marinas and resorts of Puerto de la Duquesa and Sotogrande, with their wide variety of bars, restaurants and shops.

The Terrazas de Gauadalupe Apartment is within easy reach of two local golf courses in addition to the more prestigious courses of Valderrama, Sotogrande and San Roque, which are accessible within 30 minutes. The marina at Duquesa is very close and is one of the most unspoilt and attractive marinas on the Costa del Sol.

The nearest beaches, with lovely views along the coast and with nearby restaurants, are a 10 to 15 minutes walk or a 5 minutes drive.

The historic towns of Seville and Ronda and the delightful mountain White Villages are readily accessible. For shopping and/or nightlife, Gibraltar and the nearby towns of Estepona, Puerto Banus and Marbella can be reached within half an hour.

Accommodation

This newly built apartment has marble floors throughout, is furnished to a very high standard and opens onto a spacious terrace with immediate access to the pool and the well laid out grounds.

The Master Bedroom with ensuite bathroom, has double bed, bed-side tables, generous double built-in wardrobes. Large patio doors open directly onto the terrace. The ensuite bathroom to the master bedroom has a full bath with shower over, wash basin, bidet and WC. The second bedroom has twin beds, bed-side table, spacious double wardrobes and a separate bathroom with a ¾ bath and shower over, wash basin, bidet and WC.

The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with many appliances including hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, washing machine and iron/ironing board.

The comfortably furnished lounge/dining room has a large ‘L’ shaped sofa seating up to 5, attractive sideboard and dining table and chairs. There is a TV with access to BBC 1 and 2 and Spanish programmes and a portable CD player. Patio doors lead onto a large flower-edged terrace with patio table, chairs and sun-loungers.

There is private parking at the front of the property. 

All linen/bedding is provided except beach towels.

Golf Enthusiasts

Puerto de Duquesa lies in the centre of Europe’s premier golf courses, suitable for both novice and most skilled. Courses range from the local par 72 Championship Golf Course with driving bay and putting greens to the acclaimed Valderrama Course (Ryder Cup 1977 host). Additionally the world-class courses of La Cañada, Real Club de Golf, Sotogrande, Aloha, La Quinta and San Roque are all within a 20 minutes drive.

Places of Interest

The Costa del Sol generally is famous for its coastal resorts and golf courses all of which are easily accessible from Puerto de Duquesa. Marine activities available locally include swimming, sailing, windsurfing, sea fishing, whale and dolphin watching and relaxing on the beach.

There is also a wide range of places of interest locally and within an hour or two’s drive. Along the coast to the east are the towns of Estepona, Puerto Banus and Marbella, while to the west lie Sotogrande, Algecirus and Tarifa. Gibraltar is only half an hour away with visits to Africa only 35 minutes by hydrofoil from Algecirus and Tarifa.

Puerto de Duquesa lies on the edge of some of the most splendid mountain scenery and National Parks in Andalucia. The picturesque White Villages of Casares, Gaucin and numerous others can be reached by a breathtaking drive from Manilva with the historic Moorish town of Ronda approximately an hour and a half drive inland.

In the port of Duquesa itself a range of amenities are available including bars, restaurants, shops, banks, supermarkets, beauty salons, fitness centre, pharmacies and clinic, most of which are bi-lingual.

Cultural and Birdwatching Tours

Bird watching day tours to local sites for specific Mediterranean species available for both experienced and novice birdwatchers. Binoculars, telescope and tripod available for client’s use.

Independently or in conjunction with the above, visits to local cultural and historical centres such as Ronda, Seville, Gibraltar and National Parks are available.

Rambles in the nearby mountains and valleys can be arranged and led.

Travel

The main airport at Malaga, with easy access and excellent car hire facilities is about an hours drive away. Gibraltar is nearer at 30 minutes with car hire available from Gibraltar or just over the border in La Linea. Car hire is recommended.

Day-trips could be arranged to Ronda and Seville for those who would prefer to see the scenery rather than just driving through it – see Cultural and Birdwatching Section.

Booking

Changeover day is mainly Sunday during high season but flexible at other times depending on prior bookings.

When booking a 30% deposit is required with the balance due 5 weeks prior to arrival. There is also a returnable breakages deposit of £100.
